Biography
Born in Brussels in 1990, Mercedes Dassy is a dancer and choreographer working in the fields of dance, performance, film, theater and video. She trained at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) and in New York, before dancing for choreographers such as Lisbeth Gruwez, Oriane Varak or Leslie Mannès and many others. Since 2015, Mercedes Dassy also creates her own work and develops a choreographic vocabulary around a physically highly engaged body and explores societal themes linked to the popular culture of "digital natives".
