Biography
Michèle Anne De Mey was born in Brussels in 1959 and trained at Mudra, the school founded by Maurice Béjart. In 1983, she was one of the four founding members of the Rosas company. For 6 years, she collaborated in the creation and interpretation of several pieces by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. In 1990, she founded her own company, Astragale. Although particular attention is always given to the link between dance and music, the choreographic structure of Michèle Anne De Mey's creations nourishes a strong dramaturgical content and places the dancer in a specific and innovative stage/audience relationship.
