Biography
Patrick Lor, known as SAHO, is of French-Cameroonian origin. He grew up in Paris and knew Sidney's show on TF1, "H.I.P. H.O.P.", which was filmed not far from his home. Inspired by cult films such as "Beatstreet" and "Breakstreet" in the 80's, he was mostly pushed to start by his cousins. Since a dozen years, he is one of the most famous dancers of the Belgian hip hop scene. His specialty is the so-called "stand-up dance" which is the oldest form of hip hop dance, inherited from the Afro-American music hall and funk. His specialties are Pop, Lock and Boogaloo. Arrived in Belgium in 1987, he joined one of the first nuclei of Belgian dancers that are the Dynamic Rockers. Endowed with a certain magnetism, he distinguishes himself in numerous challenges and street dance events, then is associated with several stage formulas thanks to his very particular look and his know-how in the style where he excels. Although not as strong as floor break, this dance technique that "grooves" has the particularity of being more inhabited by a fictitious character, musical, rhythmic and pictorial, allowing a language with very varied registers. After having tried different formulas and different groups, he now works mainly solo even if he continues to train dancers (Rodie, Sabrina ...) From 1997 to today, he participated in many shows, gave courses and workshops throughout Belgium / Brussels : Studio Vibes, Studio Jam, Tout Azimuts, Tokyo Gym, Dynamind, Gent : GymCenter, Fantast Dance School, Ingang, Brugges : Dansschool Ramon, Berringen : Funk Fever.... and also abroad (Slovenia, Lithuania, Switzerland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg : European Circle every year since 2002) He co-organizes since 2008 with his partner the hip hop dance competition : " SOUS PRESSION " and many dance workshops in all hip hop styles.
