‘5, 6, Boom, Kha!’ is a collection of dance notes written by Ivanna during her training as a dancer. These notes take many forms (reflections, scattered phrases, poems, etc.), accompanied by around thirty illustrations by women artists. The book questions our experiences in dance, but also the words we use to talk about it. The themes addressed revolve around our relationship with the body, the daily life of dancers and the idea of progress.
