In this show, an empty stage. Alexander roams the space, passing and re-passing the laws of his assumed solitude. A naked body performs acrobatics, revealing his physical disproportions. Through seemingly purposeless actions with seemingly insignificant objects, a tragic portrait of a human being emerges. In ANECKXANDER, Alexander Vantournhout seeks to connect with the Other. Yet he chooses to appear alone on stage. The Other, then, is the audience. And in particular his gaze, for whom the man on stage is above all a physiognomy, a form, a body.
