For her creation "atla", Louise Vanneste continues the choreographic research she began with "Thérians", where literature permeates her choreographic writing. Her reading of Michel Tournier's "Vendredi ou les limbes du Pacifique" does not aim to transpose the Robinson myth to the stage. Rather, it provides a sensitive experience, conjuring up images and mental landscapes. The hero's confrontation with the desert island, solitude, Vendredi or the sun are all situations from which the choreographer and her collaborators invent a new narrative. Louise Vanneste draws the lines of a choreographic map between installation and stage performance, plunging spectators into an intimate relationship with the environment they are passing through. The boundaries between inside and outside, between real and fantasized geography, between open and closed space, become blurred as the spectator wanders. To choreograph is to open a road into the territory of the imaginary. source: louisevanneste.be
