55 men of all ages, recruited for the most part by radio advertisements, take turns in front of the camera in a rapid montage to tell the story of Bluebeard, in the time of a sentence or a word, in Perrault's text, respected to the letter. The famous tale is famous on two counts: for its uncommonly pure literary quality, and for its narrative and fantastical power. Here, it is playfully questioned through the game of film editing. By "surfing" on the differences in accents, in the cultural experience behind the intonation of the text, in the personal implications of the narrator's role, a strange force emerges from this rereading. Red flashes evoking women from Bluebeard's past punctuate the installation, which appropriately occupies the building's most secret spot.
