Bas les Pattes
Creators: Gioachino Rossini, Camille Saint Saens, Jean Philippe Rameau, Louis Moreau Gottschalk, Nixon Fernandes, Nousch Ruellan
Johann and Julie are busy tidying up. Julie takes a break to read, and Johann transforms himself with each page she turns. They are soon joined by Barthélémy, who is initially in a playful mood, but that doesn't last long... In "Bas les Pattes," body language draws on various sources of inspiration: taken from everyday life, figurative (based on animal imagery from various cultures, such as the peacock dance in Japan, the crane in Chinese martial arts, the swan dance in classical ballet, or observations of animals playing and interacting), it is also abstract, emanating from the artists' imagination and various transformations, allowing the audience to give their own interpretation. It is based on pantomime work where the face participates fully in the choreography.
