Carcan
Creators: Hugues Girard, Shantala Pèpe
In a metronomic, hypnotic sway, a woman emerges from the shadows, her eyes riveted forward. Driven by a smooth, metrical arm dance, she emanates a cold, mechanical sensuality. But as she moves forward, her movements emancipate into erratic, voluptuous outbursts, transfiguring her from one woman to another, from one role to another. Organicity and breath intrude into the straitjacket of the rhythmic loop, giving way to bewitchment. "Carcan" invokes a multitude of female figures trapped in seductive representations that they make their own. source: shantalapepe.net
