Danse et politique
Creators: Anne Pellus
This book on the relationship between dance and politics crosses methods (research in dance, theatre studies, aesthetics, history and gender studies), formats (analyses of works, interviews, historical overviews) and theoretical perspectives, proposing a deliberately interdisciplinary, even transdisciplinary approach. At the crossroads of research in the performing arts and the social sciences, and in touch with contemporary research and social issues, the book takes an aesthetic-political approach to the politics of dance, rooted as it is in gender studies, queer theories and post-colonial studies. The book is organized into 3 balanced parts, highlighting the scope and axes of reflection developed.
