It is nailed to her hospital bed that Rainer, unable to dance, will make this film shot by William Davis. A six minute sequence shot deconstructing the movements of her hand, against a white background, without music. We are here in the line of his "No Manifesto" of 1965 which states the various points of a strategy aiming at demystifying dance, at stripping it of all drama, of all spectacle, so as to present the body and its movements as objects.
