Choreography composed of quotations, fragments that marked and influenced him. Jérôme Bel, the young French choreographer who, with only four small works, has catapulted himself to the top ranks of young choreographers, has received, in response to his request to be able to use the property of others, some assent, but also some refusal, motivated by the protection of intellectual property rights. The letters are read to the public by two interpreters, in German and French. They make it clear that in the age of unlimited reproducibility, the body and its images are linked to criminal law. Jérôme Bel has entitled his latest piece The last performance.
