It was the love of dance that brought the Brazilian Claudio Bernardo to Belgium in 1986. Today, the man who has become an established choreographer looks back on his career to deliver a solo that is as personal as it is universal. Só20 is like a conference, a laboratory where the choreographer's career is revealed little by little: video archives, photographs, creation notebooks and excerpts from solos revisited on the stage as so many imprints of time to decipher, questions to share. What is a choreographer? Inviting Kafka, Pasolini, Rilke but also close collaborators, Bernardo tries to define himself, in the light of those who have enlightened and guided his work. Só20 shows us memory at work, memory as a process of research in perpetual motion.
