Dress Code

Dress Code is interested in the way in which the practice of Breakdance marks the bodies of the dancers. It questions the "life style" adopted by this community as well as the reasons that lead to choosing this discipline. This performance, created within the framework of the choreographic research laboratory of the company ABIS, puts in scene 4 Belgian competitive bboys/bgirls (breakdancers), non-professionals, without experience of the scene. The process of creation was voluntarily very short (two weeks of work in the studio) in order to keep the raw aspect of the performance and to remain authentic to their practice.
