A man and a woman. A sense of urgency. That of a man facing a woman he thinks he recognizes. His gaze on her, at once assured and frightened, amused and questioning. Is it really her? The taste of déjà-vu is uncertain, diffuse. The heart must be clear... A duo-duel with the overtones of a terribly human thriller. The "ERASE-E(X)" series imagined by Joji Inc. is a multi-choreographic work in progress inspired by Robert Rauschenberg's "Erased De Kooning Drawing" (1953), a painting in which the artist erases a drawing by De Kooning to reappropriate it. As a prologue, a phrase danced by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, erased by the Wooster Group (New York), which re-creates a piece, itself erased and re-created by Isabella Soupart. In other words, a tautology in action. Captured during the Avignon Festival, "Le Sujet à Vif" creative space, and recorded in the Jardin de la Vierge at Lycée Saint-Joseph.
