L'héritage de Pina Bausch
Creators: Anne Linsel
In 2009 the world of contemporary dance lost one of its stars. The German choreographer Pina Bausch (1940-2009), director of the Tanztheater Wuppertal company she founded in the 1970s, left behind a rich legacy of poetic dance theater, vibrant collages of life scenes inspired by the personalities, emotions and experiences of her dancers. This documentary pays tribute to an exceptional artist by examining her influence. This influence is still felt today, notably in the creations of Alan Lucien Øyen, whose latest show, Bon voyage, Bob, is presented in excerpts. Dancers and artists who worked with her, Jo Ann Endicott, Lutz Förster or Dominique Mercy, also speak about their relationship with this great woman.
