La Dérive des continents

With La Dérive des continents, a piece for four performers, Philippe Saire (...) is temporarily abandoning contemporary dance for the theater. (...) He has asked author Antoinette Rychner to join him in this desire, and to co-write an original text for the show. Based on Homer's "Odyssey", the two artists freely adapt fragments of the myth, making them resonate with our contemporary concerns: heroism vs. security, free will vs. destiny, filiation, gender equality. Each of the four men on stage takes a different look at the figure of Ulysses, his exploits and his sacrifices, giving rise to inevitable tensions... source: philippesair.ch
