La Nuit transfigurée
Creators: Philippe Saire, Sylvie Kleiber, Arnold Schonberg, Antonio Vivaldi
Philippe Saire was commissioned to create a choreographic work in collaboration with the Camerata de Lausanne conducted by Pierre Amoyal. The two artists decided to use Arnold Schönberg's romantic work "La Nuit transfigurée" as a basis for their work, and to confront it with Antonio Vivaldi's lively "Concerto for two violins in A minor". The second brings a light counterpoint to the dramatic tonalities of "Transfigured Night". This piece is available in two versions, including an orchestral version, also recorded in its entirety, lasting 57'.
