Lire, écrire, danser

Proceedings of the third edition of Camping's doctoral students' workshop, which focused on two applied dance practices: writing and reading. Putting one's academic or choreographic research into words often means inventing oneself via a language. Conversely, reading someone else's words is like immersing yourself in a potentially new language that you make your own. Whether correlated or autonomous, what is the nature of these readers' and writers' experiences, and how do they translate? What do we read? What do we write? What place do words, books and the written word have in dance venues?
