No matter is a performance derived from Matter, questioning the relationships that women dancers and choreographers from different cultures have with imposed or fantasized social roles, symbolized by paper dresses that disappear in contact with water. Julie Nioche wanted to work with Takiko Iwabushi, whom she met for the first time in Japan 10 years ago in a space typical of her culture, the Japanese public baths or onsens.
