Gordon Matta-Clark's work has had a notable influence on architects and visual artists since the 1970s. The exhibition "Splitting, cutting, writing, drawing, eating..." organized in 2017 by the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, Porto, and Culturgest, Lisbon, reviews the constructive and destructive verbs that have defined his relationship to art and architecture, presenting correspondence, drawings, photographs, notebooks and films related to the artist's major projects, drawn from the archives of the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal.
