Composer, dance film-maker and polymorphous artist, Thierry de Mey has never ceased throughout his career to survey, observe and dissect movement, in order to express its imprint through artistic and poetic gestures involving music, dance and digital writing. The trace of movement, its writing, its memory or its persistence, are in fact the concepts and lines of force that run through all the author's work. By questioning the trace and inscribing it in a perennial approach, the artist seems to be working to conjure up our finitude as human beings. With "Traces de mouvements", the choreographic journey to which he invites us continues with this publication. A reading on the edge of dance, cinema and the visual arts.
