Voie, Voix, Vois
Creators: Gaël Santisteva, Antoine Leroy, Saaber Bachir, Maria de Larranaga
This project is the result of a meeting between Saaber Bachir, Antoine Leroy, and Gaël Santisteva during the creation of the "Cabaret Cosmos" by Ateliers Indigo (Brussels, December 2022). This Brussels-based association supports around twenty artists with disabilities who are active in visual arts, performing arts, and music workshops. The performance "Voie, Voix, Vois" was specially conceived for the Théâtre des Doms' "Garden Party" program. It will take the form of a collaborative trio between a musician (Antoine Leroy), a dancer, singer, and actor (Gaël Santisteva), and a poet, singer, actor, and designer (Saaber Bachir). The event will draw its primary inspiration from the art of ventriloquism and its derivatives to explore questions of legitimacy, power and freedom, submission and control.
