Weg - Extrait

In the unstably balanced pastel space of WEG (2019), the different movements of nine dancers and a pianist testify to the multiple possibilities of identity in a "kaleidoscopic polyphony". The "paths" (translation of weg in Dutch), repertoires and movements are varied, the registers burlesque and extravagant, uninhibited and mixed. The choreographer is inspired by chaos theory and the structuring phenomena of matter. Fascinated by the invisible links in nature, Ayelen raises the question of the forms of self-organization that take place within a community. Like Man, the dancer is a social being, albeit one filled with irrational and incoherent feelings.
