Micaël Florentz

Biography

Born in France in 1988, Micaël Florentz is a choreographer, dancer and musician based in Brussels since 2011. He composes music under various names (Bielka, Chräbb, Micaël florentz) and collaborates with artists such as Judith Juillerat and Charène Hamroun. As a dancer, he has worked with Géraldine Chollet. Micaël Florentz met the Swiss choreographer and dancer Angela Rabaglio and together they founded the Tumbleweed company in 2017. Their collaboration is mainly the result of an encounter between two very different artistic backgrounds. Through constant dialogue, inspired by their travels, by science, nature and philosophy, by an ongoing physical, technical and artistic curiosity, they have composed their own understanding of movement, body and its language.
