Stéphanie Auberville
Person — Roles : Choreographer, Dancer
Biography
Stéphanie Auberville is a dancer and improvisation choreographer. Since the early 90s, she has been involved in the practice of improvisation, which she considers to be a form of writing and an artistic field in its own way. As an improviser she has worked with Hélène Breschant, Pôm Bouvier B, Thierry Niang and Nita Little, among others, and as a choreographer she has collaborated with artists such as Céline Dauvergne and Serge Anagonou. Her artistic approach is close to documentary work. The body and dance are conceived as spaces where she can analyse collective imaginary worlds and meet singular individuals. In her work, she shifts between "real / imaginary / fiction" in search of a narration that places the body, images and words in tension.
