The YouYou Group, an international collective of women and girls from fifteen countries, explores the richness of vocal traditions, the dynamics of diaspora and collective forms of expression around the youyou (in French), or zaghareed (in Arabic), the cry of joy and celebration shared in many cultures. This publication retraces the YouYou Group's journey and bears witness to the evolution of its relationship with space, a passage between public performance and a more intimate reflection on spatiality and collective presence.
