C la vie
Creators: Serge Aimé Coulibaly, Dobet Gnahore, Yvan Talbot, Eve Martin
With "C la Vie" Serge Aimé Coulibaly follows in the great tradition of initiation stories, while at the same time creating a resolutely contemporary piece through the use of bodies, voice, music and video. The nine performers come together on stage - a public square where anything can happen and nothing is lost. As they embark on this adventure, they examine our contemporary world and our lives, with their often disastrous and complex realities. They approach this transition towards other possibilities without answers or a final goal in advance, but with a single commitment: to live and create it together. On stage, the elements converge to interrogate and explore the themes of the madness of the age, its ugliness, the grotesque spectacle of our society with its great empty speeches, the repetition of history and joy too. In this show, Serge Aimé Coulibaly invites us to question our choices as human beings and citizens: Why and how can we give meaning to our lives? source:charleroi-danse.be Captation produced as part of the "Tanz im August" festival, Radialsystem, Berlin.
