Lichens

Inspired by the animated film "Tale of Tales" by the Russian artist Yuri Norstein, Lichens is a piece constructed like memory itself, like the structural texture of our consciousness. A tale without a narrative thread woven through fleeting, floating encounters and impressions that take us on a journey, from poetic images to physical virtuosity. Meander after meander, "Lichens" defies fashion to reveal a world that is ours, or almost ours, to be constantly reinvented, with its illusions, its derision, its harshness.
