Creators: Olivier Thomas, Félicette Chazerand
From pagan rituals to Nijinsky's graphic obsessions to hip-hop battles, the figure of the circle is fundamental to the history of dance. It traditionally accompanies the seasons as the key moments of life and of all humanity. The dynamic that the circle proposes abolishes the rupture and presents itself as a beautiful exercise of sharing space and energy. Félicette Chazerand, who has always been an advocate of a dance that is accessible to all, attacks the richness of its convolutions. Five dancers form the core of a choreographic fresco that mixes reworked references of the specific rhythms of the "traditional" dance with a more contemporary vision of the farandole. Once again, the choreographer aims to translate the universality of these dances through time and across cultures, and to find an extra-temporal expression by coming together to make contact with the cosmos. The movement is highly contagious and can be shared with the audience at the end of the performance.
