Twin Houses - Extrait
Creators: Patrick Bonté, Nicole Mossoux
Twin Houses, created in 1994, is a multiple monologue for Nicole Mossoux and five articulated mannequins, not forgetting the lighting, which, as so often in the company's shows, is a presence in its own right. The dancer is confronted by her doubles in a hand-to-hand encounter in which it is no longer clear who is manipulating whom, the actress or the mannequin, or who holds power over the other. The show takes the form of a series of short, cruel tales. It's interspersed with black spots, like memory holes from which the strange, disquieting forces within us might emerge.
