Directed by Philippe Verrièle, the "Masterpieces of Dance" collection is dedicated to those works that have played an essential role in the history of dance. Each volume is a reference introduction to a work, placed in its historical and aesthetic context, and in the overall career of a major choreographer. The first titles are devoted to contemporary choreographers (although some may have already disappeared), but all eras are represented in the collection. Above all, the aim is to give readers the desire and tools to understand and love dance.
