Biography
Born in 1982, Leslie Mannès lives and works in Brussels. Trained at P.A.R.T.S, the dance school directed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, and at SEAD in Salzburg, she also has a Master's degree in Performing Arts from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. As a performer, she dances for Cie Mosoux-Bonté, Ayelen Parolin, Maxence Rey or Ingrid von Wantoch Rekowski among others. She has been developing her personal work since 2005. Her creations take place mainly on stage but also sometimes explore other relationships with the audience in participatory devices. Since 2015, she has been collaborating with the composer Thomas Turine and light designer Vincent Lemaître. Together, they venture into the invention of new rituals, seeking to provoke strong and liberating sensory experiences for the spectator.
