In the courtyard, this opaque yet familiar microcosm, children organize themselves, invent, fight or withdraw. The space teems with actions, sounds and sensations. By immersing themselves in this space, Caroline Cornélis and her performers question the matter that nestles there. Spontaneously, many components of the playground appear as precious choreographic fuel: play, relationships, asymmetries, relative anarchy, stakes of power and domination, the animality that sometimes awakens in children, in the interactions that recess authorizes - or imposes. source: carolinecornelis.be
