"Chambre(s) d‘Hôtel" is a traveling hybrid installation—an architectural structure that integrates into public space and blends experimental film, dance, and personal testimonies. Inside a techno-style trailer, a boxer, a sex worker, and a maid interact under the active gaze of the audience, who move around the installation. Each side of the trailer offers a different perspective on what is unfolding inside. The three characters have a particularly intimate and ambiguous relationship with their bodies, which are either glorified or undermined in the context of their work. Simultaneously, a person actually working in one of these professions is interviewed live in a transparent booth adjacent to the performance space. Fiction and reality overlap during the performance’s two 50-minute segments, blurring the boundaries of spectatorship to the point of voyeurism.
