Emmanuelle Vincent
Person — Roles : Choreographer, Dancer, Director, Pedagogue
Biography
Born in France in 1978, Emmanuelle Vincent is educated in theatre and contemporary dance and has been working as a choreographer, director, dancer and pedagogue. She builds her choreographic research in several countries and lives and works between Brussels and Ho Chi Minh City. In 2003, she founded t.r.a.n.s.i.t.s.c.a.p.e with Pierre Larauza, a Brussels based compagnie which combines dance and visual arts into choreographic pieces, films and installations. Together, they explore movement in hybrid forms, driven by a desire to break down boundaries between disciplines and audiences, and always willing to rethink the notion of spectatoriality. This trajectory has taken them from the stage to the museum.
