Dehors est blanc
Creators: Arnaud Gerniers, Micaël Florentz, Angela Rabaglio, Anne Lepère
In the grand ensemble of a reality in action, nothing remains unchanged. Immobility is an appearance, a show of strength by the constant becoming of everything. For this new installation-like creation, the Tumbleweed artist duo propose a choreographic piece in suspense; an original way of pursuing their explorations of the loss of landmarks, and the notion of territory. Suspended above an inverted light, three dancers gradually unfold in the void, which has become palpable and undulating. They bear witness to the impermanence of things, drifting together in pursuit of an elsewhere that never ceases to melt and fade. The title 'Dehors est blanc' is a reference to the expression "white outside", an atmospheric optical phenomenon in which contrasts are nil and everything seems enveloped in a uniform white glow. The observer can then discern neither shadows nor the horizon, causing a loss of sense of depth and orientation. Source: cietumbleweed.com Filmed at Charleroi Danse.
