Le Salon is the second part of a trilogy that began in 2002 with Le Jardin and ended in 2007 with Le Sous Sol. Le Salon is a collaborative creation of the artists and the world premiere took place on November 4, 2004 at La Rose des Vents (Villeneuve d'Ascq, FR). Between 2004 and 2009, the play toured in Europe, South Korea and Australia. This creation shows the mental, physical and financial decline of a once rich family. The aristocratic father, pillar of the family, unconsciously drags his children in his wake while he maintains appearances. A reflection on the relationships between couples, between generations, present and past, young and old. The film The Music Room by Satyajit Ray was an important inspiration for the play.
