Noli me tangere

"In a remote corner of the world, men and women tear themselves away from the shadows and the stone that held them captive… Humanity takes shape, but this embodiment turns to bewilderment; the living are gripped by their doubts and obsessions… Through work with statuary and bas-relief, visual metaphors are borrowed to explore distant inner realms: figureheads, pinned jellyfish, flat faces and bodies to express abandonment and the call. 'Noli me tangere': do not touch me; something is out of reach and must remain so… We do not possess what transcends us, and it is precisely this that alerts and exhilarates us."
